The 2025 drought in Catalonia generated the need to promote new methods of water use. One of these methods is the regeneration of treated wastewater.
This need has led to the possibility of managing Water Regeneration Plants (WRPs) in GICA0. GICA0 allows the management of both the structural data of the Water Regeneration Plants and their operational data.
The WRP record in GICA0 is designed for managing location and contact information, design data for its process lines, delivery points and users, associated auxiliary facilities, energy data, etc.
All this information allows for a detailed inventory of the system’s structural parameters.
Furthermore, as with other types of systems, GICA0 collects operational data from water regeneration plants from multiple sources: flow rates for each process line and destinations, analyses, energy and reagent consumption, tanker truck output, etc.
GICA0 is now taking another step towards becoming the benchmark application for Integrated Water Cycle Management.
