At dsd0 we want to help uncover the monster of the sewers and, for this reason, we have joined the campaign Don’t feed the monster of the sewers, an initiative of the AEAS (Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation).

Flushing wipes down the toilet...

causes environmental problems due to wastewater discharges

They cause blockages

in our homes and in the downpipes of apartment buildings

They obstruct public infrastructure

such as sewer systems, pumping equipment and wastewater treatment plants

In a city of about 300,000 inhabitants

Around 10kg of this waste is collected per person per year

They increase the price by 10-15%.

In Spain they cause an additional cost

between 4 and 6 euros per person per year, about 230 million euros annually
